Zarauzko Triatloia an epic triathlon according to GTN

epic triathlonThe Youtube channel Global Triathlon Network (GTN) lists the Zarauzko Triatloia among the 5 epic triathlons you’ve never heard of. It is clear that the Zarauzko Triatloia is well known nationally but it is an unknown triathlon internationally and that is why it is included in this series. For this part, it is a great window to offer our beloved triathlon as an epic triathlon!

Epic and unique; According to the participants, there are many factors that give the Zarauzko Triatloia these special characteristics. Starting with the organization of the Zarauzko Triatloi Elkartea club, the circuits, the tireless volunteers who help us in everything and the public that fills the circuit by wrapping up the participants.

Recommendation of Fraser Cartmell

The recommendation of our triathlon has been through the triathlete Fraser Cartmell, who participated in our half distance triathlon in 2014 and 2015. It seems that he has a good memory of our test.

Remember that in 2014, Fraser Cartmell was about to take the Txapela (name in Basque of the gift that is given to the winner). He was second, just 5 seconds behind champion Uxío Abuin. The podium was shared with the Catalan triathlete Joan Ruvireta, who reached the finish line just one minute from the winner. The following year, Fraser Cartmell achieved an exceptional sixth place, just two minutes from the podium. That year the winner was Gustavo Rodríguez, with the company of Stanyslav Krylov and Víctor Del Corral on the podium. Two years and two TOP10 for Fraser Cartmell!

Thanks to Fraser Cartmell and the GTN team

From these lines and on behalf of Zarauzko Triatloia and its organizer, the Zarauzko Triatloi Elkartea club, we want to thank Fraser Cartmell and the Global Triathlon Network (GTN) team for including the Zarauzko Triatloia as an epic triathlon in this list of triathlons. THANKS!!!
