Triathlete Guide
You can consult the Triathlete’s Guide where you will find all the necessary information: schedules, available services, …
The TRADEINN ZARAUZKO TRIATLOIA 2025 triathlete guide will be posted three weeks before the event.
ALL THE INFORMATION OF THE CIRCUIT

2,8 km from SWIMMING
This swim crossing from Getaria to Zarautz takes place in OPEN SEA and it is extremely important to prepare for the difficulties that this implies (at the level of currents, swell, orientation …).
CUTTING TIMES
1 hour for men.
1 hour and 10 minutes for women.
REFRESHMENT
Before departure, there will be bottles of water as liquid supplies. All triathletes and companions are asked to leave the area clean.

80 km of CYCLING
The circuit consists of one lap of a 32.2 kilometer circuit and another lap of a 47.8 kilometer circuit, until completing the 80 kilometers in total.
The port of Meagas will have to be climbed 3 times from Zarautz. It is not a pass that has a very pronounced slope (average 3.5%), but it does have a considerable length (3.9 kilometres).
THE SAN BLAS WALL
The main reason for changing the circuit is to be able to achieve a controlled, almost closed, cycling circuit and thus protect the triathlete more and ensure his safety.
This new circuit will not go through the famous Aia Wall but thanks to the orography of our area, the Aia Wall will be replaced by the San Blas Wall. Thus maintaining the epic and spectacular nature of the cycling circuit.
The San Blas Wall, being close to Zarautz, is a good point for your companions to enjoy the harshness of the cycling segment.
Recommendations:
- Maximum slope 20%.
- Recommended development for mid-level cyclists: 34 tooth chainring and 28 or 30 tooth pinion.
CUTTING TIMES
There are 3 intermediate cuts:
- Km 32.2 in Zarautz, at the end of the first lap, at 4:30 p.m.
- Km 62.2 at the Zumaia roundabout at 5:47 p.m.
- Km 80 before the entrance to the Pits at 6:30 p.m.
These cut-off hours will apply to both men and women. Those triathletes who have not reached the cut-off point in the indicated hours, will be disqualified by the judges, in order to regain normalcy in traffic as soon as possible, and from that moment they will stop being outside the test coverage.
